How to Upgrade a Theme

  1. Download the latest package and unpack.
  2. Copy 5 items from your current theme. (style.css, images folder, readme.html, changes.txt, and screenshot.png)
  3. Paste those items to new theme folder. (if you're using blankB then paste items to the new folder named blankB)
  4. Open changes.txt and make necessary changes as noted by developer of theme. If no changes have been made to a file in the newly released kit, just copy the altered files like steps 2 and 3 above. Check the ReadMe.txt included with the themer kit to see if any files have been modified.
  5. All Done, reward yourself for your efforts.

Upgrading a theme is a pretty straightforward process, especially if the theme developer hasn't changed any core files or has fully utilized the changes.txt file.

Under most circumstances you won't need to find the theme developer for upgrading, you can easily do it yourself by following the directions above.
